UPVC Windows

Improving the windows on your home

Home window improvements are a big financial investment, and like any investment you make, you will want to look after it and enjoy it for years to come. The quality and appearance of your windows has a real effect on both the appearance of your property from the outside and the enjoyment of your home on the inside.

Replacement uPVC windows are an important investment in your home and don’t just improve its appearance but also its insulation, its security, its value and consequently, your overall quality of life.

Worthington and Graham are one of Lancashire’s leading installers of uPVC windows and doors with a wealth of experience with installation of uPVC replacement windows of many different sizes and styles in the Preston and Lancashire area. Our uPVC windows consist of quality duraflex window system profiles.

Fully sculptured, minimal maintenance

Minimal uPVC maintenance is required – merely cleaning and oiling the stainless steel friction hinges and locking mechanisms on a regular basis is all that is required to retain the originally installed appearance and operation. Child safety devices are also available for bedroom windows.

Our uPVC double-glazed windows are available in a variety of profile colours: White, Rosewood, Mahogany and Golden Oak. A variety of uPVC window styles are available too, including uPVC sash windows and uPVC bay windows.

Irish Oak, Rustic Cherry, Soft Cherry and Antique Cherry finishes are all available. These finishes are typically applied to the inner frames of PVC windows and doors, to suit the interior design of a given space. Fully glazed duraflex windows and other coloured profile samples are available in our showroom for you to view.

To further enhance your new windows, a choice of quality, coloured, key-locking uPVC window handles is available, working alongside a shoot bolt window locking system, providing maximum security and safety for you and your home.

Improved Insulation Value

All of our uPVC double glazing units use two glass planes to contain Argon gas, giving you an improved thermal insulation value of 79% over single glass and an impressive 57% thermal insulation improvement over conventional air-filled double glazing units. Planitherm-Coated Low Emissivity glass is installed as standard for your maximum benefit.

With visible benefits for both the environment and your home, it’s clear why Energy Efficient uPVC doors and windows are a valuable addition to your life and your home.

Internal room glass condensation should be immensely reduced, but as a characteristic of installing high insulation double glazing units, condensation may occur on the outside of your planitherm glass, indicating that very little of your room heat is escaping through the glass unit.

The result is that by fitting uPVC windows, your home will lose less heat and provide you with a more comfortable environment at a lower cost in domestic fuel expenditure.

FENSA requirements apply to ALL domestic environments and exclude some unheated areas, garages, offices, porches, conservatories etc. Worthington and Graham is a FENSA Registered Installer and all of our window installations are FENSA certificated.

Worthington and Graham can advise of all FENSA requirements to comply with the Building Regulations applicable to your new window installation.
